I love a home that has a lot of layers and accessories. The best way to achieve this is to use various collectables, art, books, pictures, flowers, candles and vaces. I find the areas in a room I’m drawn to feel like they were layered at different times and items were accumulated over the years of the owners’ life. The best way to ‘fake’ it is to buy items from unexpected places, such as tag sales, thrift stores, flea markets, auction houses, on line and don’t forget to revisit your own items hiding in that attic. Most people like two colors, but I find more the better. I’m drawn to an eclectic arrangement of unexpected items, textures and colors. Which ever you enjoy, a couple colors or several, try different looks and items in your space as you never know what will happen, you just might like it!
I love how neutral these accessories are in light grays and cream and work perfectly with this beautiful blue color shown in the handmade art and books.

Mostly white & lime with splashes of color. The twigs brings nature into this traditional space.

Layers of vintage items add so much interest to this space.

I love how these accessories pop on the dark colored shelving.

Whites and creams shine when layered together and pop with a dark background!

I love the balance between functional and decorative accessories grouped together.

White on white is so chic and so in control!
