Neutral Monochromatic Style

Monochromatic is defined as having or consisting of one hue or color.  Most people could handle as neutral monochromatic hue as they tend to be bright, yet soft and feminine, yet masculine.  I personally wouldn’t want to look at an entire primary colored room all day or everyday.  It would be too much for me to live in and feel very dark in the later hours.  The images below have several threads in common, they are clutter free, giving a pretty simple feel to the room, but all contain great texture within the same hue.  It takes focus and discipline to maintain a monochromatic room.
DIY chaise sofa. This would work well for my spa room. Twin size mattresses with simple frames and furniture legs. Just add extra large pillows and lots of them. I love this whole style for upstairs loft idea!

  1. Beautiful rooms. Me and my husband have just finished staging his apartment to sell and we were quite proud of ourselves. But it doesn’t look as good as these lovely rooms. Oh well, ho-hum! Hopefully we’ll soon be decorating a new home and there’s plenty of ideas here 🙂
