My boys were ring barrier’s in their brother’s beautiful wedding on September 7. The bride and groom wanted a vintage wedding vibe, so not only was the decor vintage but the wedding party wore suspenders and caps.
I had my boys hats, ties and suspenders handmade from Etsy.
Their outfits fit right in & they LOVED being part of their brothers’ wedding!
Caps by Averylee Kids
Suspenders & Ties by Tiny Tots Clothing
Shirts by Gymboree
Khaki’s by Joe’s Jeans
Shoes by GAP
I know I’m a little bias but how cute are these boys? I think their outfits worked really well. The only thing I may have done differently is to make their ties a tad darker…I love to know what do you think?
I love a home that has a lot of layers and accessories. The best way to achieve this is to use various collectables, art, books, pictures, flowers, candles and vaces. I find the areas in a room I’m drawn to feel like they were layered at different times and items were accumulated over the years of the owners’ life. The best way to ‘fake’ it is to buy items from unexpected places, such as tag sales, thrift stores, flea markets, auction houses, on line and don’t forget to revisit your own items hiding in that attic. Most people like two colors, but I find more the better. I’m drawn to an eclectic arrangement of unexpected items, textures and colors. Which ever you enjoy, a couple colors or several, try different looks and items in your space as you never know what will happen, you just might like it!
I love how neutral these accessories are in light grays and cream and work perfectly with this beautiful blue color shown in the handmade art and books.
Mostly white & lime with splashes of color. The twigs brings nature into this traditional space.
Layers of vintage items add so much interest to this space.
I love how these accessories pop on the dark colored shelving.
Whites and creams shine when layered together and pop with a dark background!
I love the balance between functional and decorative accessories grouped together.
White on white is so chic and so in control!
When dressing yourself, I come from a place of “if you can wear clothes with an edge, then you should”. Never hesitate when it comes to trying something on that you think may not work. I’ve worked with clients who say they know it won’t look good on them and 9 time out of 10, their wrong. Just try it! Here are my inspirations when it comes to great style with an edge. You can have a pretty basic outfit, but why not wear a boot instead of those go to flats, wear a trendy purse, bright lip color, or add a cape….just do something different! By wearing clothing differently, you’re being stylish. >wink<
When I think of dressing for summer I think of cotton dresses, sandals, white, big sunglasses, wearing hair up, floral clothing, shorts, tank tops, coverups, floppy hats, baseball caps, flip flops, canvas bags, capri pants, wedge Toms, bikinis, white T’s, painted toes, and tube tops! Yes, I was born in the 70’s! I love a little romance mixed with casualness. I’ve always been inspired by girly girl meets tomb boy meets preppy meets classy pants. You can make these combinations happen all summer long!
