How to Find Your Style

Our personal style is always changing and hopefully evolving, but if you feel like you don’t know what our style is, what to wear, what looks goods, then you’re normal!

The first thing I do when working with any client is ask questions.  What do you want to look like?  Where are you shopping now?  Once those questions are discussed I’ll have a good idea of what your “style image” is.  Next, it’s time to go through all clothing and accessories.  This is how to determine what is working for your body and towards your “style image” goal.

From there it’s easy to create a check list of items to buy.  The next step is the actual shopping.  Lastly, I coach my clients on how to put their outfits together.

Finding your style like everything else is a process.  My job is to make the process easy, manageable and fun!

Working together normally takes two or three, 2 hour sessions to accomplish the task of ‘finding your style’.  My current “Finding Your Style” session is going for $200 (normally $300).  This is a limited special.  To book your session, e-mail me at !

Jackie O You Take My Breath Away

Classic Elegance and Timeless Style is the only way to describe Jackie Kennedy Onassis.  What an icon for so many reasons, and not to say this reason is more or less than anything else Jackie was known for, but her effortless style, grace, composure, and the images I see here are fashionably exquisite.  In my ideal world, I would love to bottle some of these effortless looks myself.  May all of these images inspire us to dress the part and be so fabulous.

Stunning stunning stunning.

Seriously skinny strutting her stuff!  She is so comfortable in her own skin, not needing complicated clothing….I love how she’s able to wear simple clothing so well.

Tailoring is key to creating a memorable look.  It doesn’t matter how much your clothes cost if they are tailor well, you’ll look stylish and memorable.

Nothing is more stylish than wearing your clothing with a bowl full of confidence.  You go girl!

Color!  Wearing a bright color with the perfect balance of sugar with those pearls and spice with those lips.  So beautiful.

Her glasses make me smile….as you can see it’s night, but why not wear that oh so stunning accessory, that you wore so well.  And we are all wearing them again!

I am all about a nicely tailor coat, especially a trench coat.  It doesn’t matter what you are wearing under that coat, all everybody is starring at is how great you look in that coat.  I’ve worn yoga pants and a t-shirt with my trench over and it looks just as good with my pressed shirt and jeans.

I tip my hat to you, Mrs. Everything so classic.  You had it all and will continue to teach us about style.  Thank you Jackie O.

Fall color trends

If you are like me, then you too wear the same colors over and over and maybe add a new color some times.  For years I had an aversion to wearing the color peach or tangerine.  Well, that all changed this Spring when tangerine was the ‘it’ color.

My mom was visiting from Alaska and we went shopping, as we enjoy doing, and before I could put my peach colored skirt into the cart (Target) my mom reminded me that I didn’t like that color.  Yes, you are right, but it’s the color of the season and…. well it looks good on me.  Who knew since I didn’t wear it for the past forty years!

Now, my closet looks like a bomb went off filled with colors I never thought I would wear.  I have lime green jeans, turquoise canvas shoes, neon pink accessories, grey knee high boots and it goes on an on.

If you are rejecting colors because you are stuck wearing the same blacks, navies, and white, then it is time to give the seasons ‘it’ color a try.  You don’t have to go head to toe, but start by adding one new piece in a different color to spice up your wardrobe.

This Fall’s hottest colors

Burgundy or Grape

Grab a burgundy jacket, cardigan or solid scarf to your current Fall clothing to fit in this great color.

Midnight Blue

Wear midnight blue just the same as you would navy blue.

Add mustard with cords, a sweater, or leather handbag.

You never know if a color will work out for you, unless you try it.  To fit in this fall with the color trends, go out and pick up one item from each of the ‘hot’ colors.  I bet you’ll find that you actually look good in one of these Fall colors.
