I believe beauty starts on the inside. Taking care of myself is very important to me and I know you eventually see the benefits on the outside. Not only do I exercise, drink plenty of water and sleep well, I practice meditation and sometimes cleanse by body. I know it seems a bit much, but with everything we put our bodies I find it to be a meaningful exercise. The benefits of cleansing can be found on several sites, but here are some that I found to be helpful, Dr. Oz and Ezine Articles.
A year ago, I started focusing on my skin and wash my face every night and morning and pay close attention to wearing sunscreen. I’ve always worked out a couple day’s a week and would try to squeeze in a walk here an there, but something switched in me and I decided it was time to go for it and in October I started working out 5 days a week and on the other days make sure to get a walk in. It’s been 9 months and am hooked.
The more you work on your body the better you eat! I’m happy with what I’m eating but am ready to detox my body. It is hard, but I really want to do it. I love the mental challenge and interested to see what happens with my body.
I don’t normally share photos of my body, but for this purpose, I think it’s helpful to see the before and after photos. I’ll journal and post my process of the next 5 days of my Juice Cleanse. Oh and I know, I’m skinny and I don’t need to loose weight, that’s not what this is about. It’s more about the benefits of the cleanse and it just so happens that loosing weight is a side affect, but for me I’m going to continue working out and having SO many veggies that I’ll be getting everything I need! ~XX
